Spring 2014 Tara shipped pots home from magical India but the shipping costs were so high that she decided to make jewellery instead. With the help of several talented women she made 7500 clay beads and 200 pendants in the traditional pottery village of Aruvacode. Most of the time in this village was spent listening to the ladies chat in Malayalam while the mind wondered to thoughts of how lucky I am to be here. Each bead has it's own tiny stick to keep it's hole shaped that will burn out during firing. Talk about a labour of love! These beads are just porous enough to absorb a little oil and allow you to wear it within the beads.
