I've been meaning to post something about this great festival and can hardly believe it's almost a month late! I was lucky enough to be a guest artist at this years Kaleidoscope Children's Festival.....creating clay plants/animals & people with tons of enthusiastic kids & parents. The theme this year was water systems & everyone made something you might find in our local lakes & rivers. There were many other artists at the event sharing their passion for printmaking, stonecarving, drawing, music and more. The imagination & creativity was inspiring to me. I look forward to being able to participate in the event next year.
Location: Red Leaves JW Marriot Resort & Spa, Minette, ON
Date: Saturday June 27th from 9:30am -1:00pm
Tara @ TOAE
I just wanted to thank all the lovely folks that came to visit me at TOAE this past weekend.
It was a very positive experience & great to meet so many people that travel to/around Dorset. I look forward to seeing some of the new friends up here at the studio soon.
Now I'm back in Dorset for a few days.....and then going to do it all over again this Friday July 17- Sunday July 19th at Annie Williams Memorial Park for the Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show.
We have a lot of new work this week, and there is only more to come: here's a look at what we have on our shelves right now.
Every casserole dish is completely an individual: each one is a different size and has a different design. All of the casserole dishes are oven safe, though they must be placed in the oven while it is still cool. Do not preheat.
These pouring hearts are the same design as the last batch, but have a very different look from their single glaze.
New tile designs: these particular tiles have holes to be hung, but they are great for counter splash-backs, decorative elements in kitchens and bathrooms, and much more.
Clay buttons and beads. At $6 a pair, they are a great way to fix up an old sweater or other garment!
Attention all Toronto residents: Chetolah Fresh Air Studio will be showing at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition on July 10th, 11th, and 12th. The show is in Nathan Philip Square and is featuring over 500 artists. For more information, see either our events page or the show's website.
The new store, stocked with the first new designs of 2009! Come by and check them out before they're all gone!
Welcome to the brand new Chetolah Fresh Air Studio website! We will be adding a lot of content in the next few weeks, including many images to the gallery and information about the new store. Check back or add the blog to your RSS feed to be kept up to date on what is happening!
